abyssquick Gary is back! And, all I can say is: thank you! Sometimes an artist just releases an album and it is exactly what you need. This is a return to early Sun Dial, for the most part, and whether it’s prog rock, early 90’s goth, prog metal (Track #5 whispers Tool), King Crimson or space rock, Mr Ramon adds that unique neo-psychedelic twist. I love this album, there is not a bad track ! All Hail Gary Ramon! We are not worthy! Favorite track: Messages From The Mothership.

Sun Dial are pleased to announce their 10th studio album release, with a ltd edition of vinyl and CD on Sulatron. The album takes its inspiration from Gary Ramon catching sight of a UFO in desolate marshland at the age of fourteen. This gives way to a theme throughout which is prevalent on side 2. There are elements of Floyd, King Crimson and Hawkwind, but the album has all the elements of Sun Dial's "Other Way Out", and those in the know are calling it their best work since then. It's back to psych and the tracks have Gary's unmistakeable vocal and guitar work interspersed with Hammond, Mellotron and various rare keyboards. Side 1 has well crafted, shorter tracks which could all be singles in their own right. Side 2 leans more to the Progressive and Krautrock, culminating in possibly Gary's best guitar work on the finale "Saucer Noise". His astonishingly intricate soloing sounds like a man possessed by an otherworldly force. "Messages" is a focused but "out there" album which will please Sun Dial fans and surely win them a generation of new followers.
